Banco del Atlantico. (Company News). (to be sold to Grupo Financiero Bital).

The Bank Savings Protection Institute (IPAB) announced that in May it will complete the sale of Banco del Atlantico to Grupo Financiero Bital. Bital and IPAB agreed in principal to the deal in December 2001, pending a US$400 million capital injection into Atlantico, a victim of the 1995 peso crisis that led to the virtual collapse of Nation's banking sector.
