BancTec's Plexus Division Announces Key Management Appointment.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1997--The Plexus Division of BancTec, Inc. (NYSE:BTC) today announced that J. Adriaan Theron has joined Plexus as Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Adriaan Theron will be based in Plexus' Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and brings more than 25 years of software industry sales and marketing experience to this newly created position. Reporting directly to John Torkelson, General Manager of Plexus, Theron will be responsible for all sales and marketing operations of Plexus and will take a leadership role in its business development initiatives.

Prior to joining Plexus, Theron was VP of Marketing for SQL Financials, an Atlanta-based client/server applications software vendor. Positions held before SQL Financials include: VP Sales and Marketing for Learnsoft, a California-based corporate education supplier and prior to that, 13 years with Hewlett-Packard in numerous international sales and management assignments. Among these, he led the AIMS Business unit, which sold and integrated imaging and workflow system solutions to major corporations based on Plexus' XDP and FloWare software products. Theron attended the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
