Smuggling has been carried on in nearly all nations and has occasionally been adopted as an instrument of national policy, as by Great Britain  bombs. But the explosives detonated prematurely, killing two of the gang. UVF gunmen then opened fire killing singer Fran 0'Toole, guitarist Tony Geraghty and trumpeter Brian McCoy.
