Bama Adopts Click2learn to Build Curricula for Corporate Training Institutes; Leading food service company will utilize ToolBook to develop Web-based training courses.

Click2learn (Nasdaq:CLKS) today announced that the Bama Companies, producers of bakery products for some of the world's largest restaurant chains, has selected the ToolBook(TM) Instructor(TM) desktop authoring solution to create e-learning content for the company's two training institutes.

Both the Bama Technical Training Institute (BTTI) and the Bama Institute will utilize ToolBook Instructor to develop an individual curriculum of Web-based courses that employees will be able to access either at work or remotely. Web-based learning will enable BTTI, which offers training to the company's maintenance technicians at three facilities in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to provide the same training content to its employees company-wide. This is part of Bama's Total Preventative Maintenance initiative, which calls for all employees to be able to maintain the equipment on which they work in good operating condition. In addition, BTTI will offer certification training to its maintenance technicians, enabling them to advance their pay grades. Initial implementation of BTTI's Web-based training is planned for January of 2003.

In a second initiative, also scheduled to launch in January of 2003, The Bama Institute will utilize Instructor to create additional training for the company's management and professional level employees. Bama Institute courses will cover a variety of topics related to strategic issues in human resources including workplace safety and non-discrimination and harassment policies.
