Bama Adopts Click2learn to Build Curricula for Corporate Training Institutes; Leading food service company will utilize ToolBook to develop Web-based training courses.

, has selected the ToolBook(TM) Instructor(TM) desktop authoring solution to create e-learning content for the company's two training institutes.

Both the Bama Technical Training Institute (BTTI) and the Bama Institute will utilize ToolBook Instructor to develop an individual curriculum of Web-based courses that employees will be able to access either at work or remotely. Web-based learning will enable BTTI, which offers training to the company's maintenance technicians at three facilities in Tulsa, Oklahoma Tulsa is the second-largest city in the state of Oklahoma and 45th-largest in the United States. With an estimated population of 382,872 in 2006,[1] it is the principal municipality of the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area, a region of 897,752 residents projected to , to provide the same training content to its employees company-wide. This is part of Bama's Total Preventative Maintenance initiative, which calls for all employees to be able to maintain the equipment on which they work in good operating condition. In addition, BTTI will offer certification training to its maintenance technicians, enabling them to advance their pay grades. Initial implementation of BTTI's Web-based training is planned for January of 2003.
