The system provides the diversified diversified (di·verˑ·s utility with the flexibility to create, maintain and execute custom-contracted billing arrangements for its largest industrial and commercial accounts. Greg Martin, Manager of Customer Service at BGE, stressed the benefits of the new system's flexibility. "We can now establish custom contracts for our largest customers. Ultimately, our customers should benefit from the added flexibility and improved customer service that the Industrial and Commercial Billing System provides," said Martin. Mark Snead, Andersen Consulting partner, noted that although BGE has more than one million customers, its one thousand largest customers -- those that will benefit from the new billing system -- contribute nearly 25% of overall company energy revenues.
