Baltimore City Community College Baltimore City Community College dates its origins to the Baltimore Junior College, founded as part of the Baltimore City Public School System in 1947 to provide post-high school education for returning World War II veterans and was the inspiration of Dr. Harry Bard. has been awarded two-year,
$581,227 grant from the National Science Foundation to develop a
national model for a robotics technician curriculum. The goal is to
increase the technical proficiency of underserved and disadvantaged
students in robotics, electronics, engineering technology, computer and
information technology and manufacturing. The effort will be supported

Juxtopia LLC, Lockheed Martin, Advancing Robotics Technology for
Societal Impact, and the Community College of Baltimore County's
Technology & Innovation in Manufacturing Education Center. In
addition to increasing the number of robotics technicians, the
curriculum will facilitate a four-year career pathway option to Morgan
State University, and establish an information technology and robotics
employer relationship with Juxtopia.
