Baltimore Chapter.

On the heels of the Hurricane Isabel, the first "port tour" took place on September 30th. The port tour has become an annual "Kick-Off" event for the chapter, and the Maryland Port Administration conducted the tour.

The Baltimore Chapter met at the MITAGS--Institute for Maritime Training and Technology, in Linthicum, MD, on October 16th. The group was honored to have Lt. Tim Belunis from the US Coast Guard Command in Curtis Bay, MD, as guest speaker. Lt. Belunis educated the attendees on the overall Coast Guard mission, including Iraqi Freedom deployment. He also updated the group on changes within the US Coast Guard since falling under the Department of Homeland Security.

The Baltimore Chapter has partnered for years with the USO at BWI, and we're encouraging people to take part in a very worthy effort. In support of our troops, we've obtained the initial schedule for our service men and women departing from BWI, and we need your support in helping to hand out "care" packages.
