Baltia Airlines opens offices at JFK Airport.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1995--JFK International Airport--In preparation for commencement of its passenger and cargo service in 1996, Baltia Baltia is a legendary island in Roman mythology, said to be in northern Europe. It is mentioned by Xenophon according to "Natural History" by Pliny the Elder. The Baltic Sea may be named after it.  Air Lines Inc. announced today that it has leased space at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport

Baltia will utilize six check-in positions at ground level with Club Baltia on the second floor for First and Business Class passengers. The third floor offices will be used by the Operations team during the air carrier certification period.

Baltia's president and chairman, Igor Dmitrowsky, said that, "having space in the East Wing of the International Arrivals Building is ideal for Baltia. It provides us with the functional space needed in preparation for operations. Having our own dedicated terminal space enables Baltia to establish its name recognition independent of large carriers. It also provides direct street level access for passengers."

Baltia Air Lines, an American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento.
