SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 4, 2004

Ballpark Pedicabs, San Diego's premier pedicab company, proclaims the new city ordinance A law, statute, or regulation enacted by a Municipal Corporation.

An ordinance is a law passed by a municipal government. A municipality, such as a city, town, village, or borough, is a political subdivision of a state within which a municipal corporation has been

"It doesn't seem right to allow taxicabs, and not pedicabs," stated Ballpark Pedicab Owner Ira Fefferman. "Taxicabs just seem much more obtrusive ob·tru·sive

The plan was put into place on Monday, January 26, during a city council meeting and needless to say, Ballpark Pedicabs is not happy with the decision. Ballpark pedicabs plans to try and work with the city to come up with a new plan that will better serve the public which they feel includes the use of pedicabs.

Many will have to walk several blocks to get to the game or events which can be hard for families with young children and for those who are handicapped. Allowing pedicabs access to these streets would be a great solution. Pedicabs are safe, convenient and fun. Fans can park as far away as they like and simply catch a pedicab to the game allowing them to get to the park with ease and enjoy the sites on the way, providing for a great downtown experience.

"This preliminary parking plan for traffic at Petco Park is definitely a set back for the pedicabs in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850.
