Ballantine Books. (People On The Move).


Melody Guy was recently named senior editor of Ballantine Books. Guy joined Random House in 1997 as publishing manager. In 2000, she helped launch Villard's Strivers Row imprint that focuses on African American African American Multiculture A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. See Race.  titles, and served as its editor for the past three years. Along with her dudes Dudes may refer to:
  • Plural of dude
  • The Dudes, a Canadian band
  • Th'Dudes, a New Zealand band
 at Strivers Row, Guy becomes responsible for the One World imprint that focuses on multicultural titles of African American, Asian, Latino and Native American interest. Melody has experienced success with several of her Strivers Row titles including Essence best-sellers Sittin' in the Front Pew (Parry "Ebony Satin" Brown), Hand-Me-Down-Heartache (Tajuana "TJ" Butler), No More Mr. Nice Guy (C. Kelly Robinson). Some of her other titles include Shades of Noun 1. shades of - something that reminds you of someone or something; "aren't there shades of 1948 here?"
