Balin named awards chairman.


Kenneth P. Balin, president and chief executive officer of Philadelphia-based AMC (Advanced Mezzanine Card) See AdvancedTCA.  Delancey Group, Inc., has been named chairman of 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania's 2006 Commonwealth Design Awards.

The awards, which showcase the best in smart growth design, will be presented June 13 at The State Museum of Pennsylvania The State Museum of Pennsylvania is a non-profit museum in downtown Harrisburg, run by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania to preserve and interpret the region's history and culture. It is a part of the Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex.  in Harrisburg. 10,000 Friends is a statewide smart growth alliance.

Balin founded AMC Delancey Group, Inc., a national real estate investment company, in 1992. He is a founding member of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania The Wharton School is the business school of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1881 through a donation of Joseph Wharton, making it the world’s oldest business school.  and has served on the boards of many philanthropic and community organizations. He is a licensed real estate broker and a frequent guest lecturer and speaker in the real estate investment industry.
