Baldwin Bonanza 2001 begins Friday night, May 4 with the reservation only Preview Party, Silent Auction and Plant Sale Fundraiser from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase plants, dine al fresco fresco (frĕs`kō) [Ital.,=fresh], in its pure form the art of painting upon damp, fresh, lime plaster. In Renaissance Italy it was called buon fresco to distinguish it from fresco secco, and bid on many unique Silent Auction offerings. Tickets to this event are $50.00 per person and will be available for purchase beginning March 1. The public Plant Sale on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 & 6 will be from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day. Thousands of plants will be available for purchase including many orchids from The Arboretum Collection, along with numerous plants from participating nurseries. Choices will be endless, including traditional favorites---roses, cacti, flowering trees, staghorn ferns stag·horn fern n.
