BALCONY plunge dad John Hogan John Hogan is the name of more than one notable man:
  • John Hogan (executive), Chief executive of the radio division of Clear Channel Communications
  • John Hogan (mathematician), Member of the Applied Nonlinear Mathematics Group at the University of Bristol
 arrived back in the UK a free man yesterday - less than three years after killing his six-year-old son Liam.

Hogan, 36, was accompanied by a Greek doctor and relatives on the flight from Athens.

He was met by health workers and two police officers at Heathrow airport and taken straight to a psychiatric psy·chi·at·ric

Hogan hobbled off BA flight 639 on crutches shortly after 4pm. He refused to answer questions as he was whisked through customs and out a back exit.

It was the first time Hogan has been on British soil since setting off on the tragic family holiday in August 2006.

Hogan snapped and threw his children and himself from a balcony at the Petra Mare Hotel in Crete after rowing with wife Natasha.

Little Liam died in the plunge but Hogan and his daughter Mia, then two, survived.

He was cleared of murder but ordered to have treatment in a Greek psychiatric hospital psychiatric hospital
