Balcony Media launches design title.

Balcony Media (Glendale, CA), the publisher of "LA Architect" magazine and related books, has begun the publication of "FORM: Pioneering Design," a new magazine covering modern design. It will be published six times a year and an annual subscription costs $35.

The new magazine succeeds Balcony's "LA Architect," a regional magazine launched in 2000 in cooperation with the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  chapter of the American Institute of Architects The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a professional organization for architects in the United States. Organized in 1857, the Institute conducts various activities and programs to support the profession and enhance its public image, including periodically awarding the AIA . "FORM" is targeted to architects and professional designers in urban centers throughout the U.S. and is written to fill "a unique niche" that features articles and information in the areas of architecture, interior, landscape, furniture and product design, and materials and technology.

Balcony said the title's mission is to showcase high-concept projects "that provoke pro·voke

In explanation for expanding the editorial scope of "FORM" compared to "LA Architect," Balcony asked "can a magazine really cover architecture without comprehending the sublime sublime /sub·lime/ (sub-lim´) to volatilize a solid body by heat and then to collect it in a purified form as a solid or powder.  fold of fabric, the guilty pleasure of corrugated cardboard Noun 1. corrugated cardboard - cardboard with corrugations (can be glued to flat cardboard on one or both sides)
