Some of the findings of the report, sponsored by the American Health Care Association (AHCA AHCA - Additional Housing Cost Allowance AHCA - Additional Housing Costs Allowance (UK) AHCA - Afghan Hound Club of America, Inc. AHCA - Agency for Health Care Administration AHCA - American Health Care Association AHCA - American Highland Cattle Association AHCA - American Hockey Coaches Association AHCA - Arizona Health Care Association AHCA - Arkansas Health Care Association AHCA - Arlington Heights Civic Association), were: * Spending is below what the BBA and BBRA allotted. * SNF reductions were targeted at $1 for $6 expended; however, total spending reductions have been closer to $1 for $3 expended, almost twice as much as planned. * The BBRA was meant to restore necessary spending, but the decline continues. * Nearly 20 percent of participating SNFs have been forced into bankruptcy. These findings predict financial instability for an industry in which the demand for its services is on the rise. AHCA, SNFs, hospitals, and other health care facilities are sounding the alarm. Congress needs to put back some of the cut funds to prevent "an acute care crisis." |
