* Spending is below what the BBA and BBRA allotted.

* SNF reductions were targeted at $1 for $6 expended; however, total spending reductions have been closer to $1 for $3 expended, almost twice as much as planned.

* The BBRA was meant to restore necessary spending, but the decline continues.

* Nearly 20 percent of participating SNFs have been forced into bankruptcy.

These findings predict financial instability for an industry in which the demand for its services is on the rise. AHCA, SNFs, hospitals, and other health care facilities are sounding the alarm. Congress needs to put back some of the cut funds to prevent "an acute care crisis."
