Breakthrough Performance Results Lauded at Government Summit

WASHINGTON, & LINCOLN, Mass. -- Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, a division of Palladium Group, Inc., today announced it has named the United States Postal Service and Brigham and Women's Hospital to the Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame for Executing Strategy[TM] for achieving breakthrough performance results using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The award will be presented to officers of these organizations at the Balanced Scorecard Government Summit being held this week in Washington, DC. "Today's winners have achieved breakthrough performance results using the Balanced Scorecard and are truly Strategy-Focused Organizations," said Dr. David P. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) conceptCocreated by Drs. Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton in 1992Cohas been implemented in thousands of corporations, organizations, and government agencies worldwide and has been cited by Harvard Business Review as one of the most important ideas of the past seventy-five years. United States Postal Service

The United States Postal Service (USPS), which historically operated as a government-supported monopoly, was mandated by Congress in 1970 to break even and taxpayer subsidies were eliminated. After becoming self-sufficient in the early 1980s, USPS has become more commercial and revenue-oriented. Brigham and Women's / Faulkner Hospitals

Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is a 747-bed nonprofit teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, located in Boston, Massachusetts, and a founding member of the Partners Healthcare System.
