Balance Bar Co-founder Introduces Intellisoy at IFT Show.
Intellisoy
WHAT: Introduction of Intellisoy(TM), the first completely
clear, 100% soluble and perfectly pure soy isoflavone
additive with no calories and no taste
Growing demand for soy products, soy isoflavones
particularly, is expected to increase 5.4% per year to
$8.6 billion in 2007 as a result of consumers' desire for
achieving better health through diet coupled with the
variety of health benefits associated with soy.
However, growth in consumption of soy foods is still
restricted by negative flavor associations. The range of
possible food and beverage applications is limited by the
constraints of soy additives today. Manufacturers are
struggling to produce products such as energy bars,
breakfast cereals, meat alternatives and beverages that
are pleasant tasting without the beany tastes and odors,
ashy colors and graininess that are the byproducts of
adding soy isoflavones.
Intellisoy will allow these manufacturers to bring the
benefits of soy to the masses, and will provide consumers
with new, better tasting options to improve their diets
and overall health.
Mr. Lamb will also comment on:
-- Current issues in the food and beverage industry
experienced by companies looking to improve the health
benefits of products
-- Recent trends and predictions for the future of the
soy foods market
-- Intellisoy and the proprietary water-based extraction
process used to create it
-- The many applications of Intellisoy in food and
beverage products including AquaSoya(TM), a clear
beverage containing 20 mg of isoflavones per serving
