James Moorcroft, P.E., has been named vice president of Michael Baker Jr., Inc., effective June 26. Moorcroft, 52, will be responsible for overseeing multiple aspects of Baker's business in the newly-created North Region, with particular emphasis on the Allegheny County/Pittsburgh market.

Prior to his leaving the company in 1998, Moorcroft had been with Baker for more than 20 years. During that time, he served as program manager for major transportation projects, including the $800 million, 100-gate Pittsburgh International Airport “PIT” redirects here.
