In this newly created position, Hughes, 37, will work closely with all areas of Baker's businesses and be accountable for the development and implementation of information and knowledge management strategies as well as all areas of information technology and telecommunications worldwide.

Hughes has significant global experience in the design and delivery of major business change projects through the implementation of information strategies and leading information technology. He has gained this experience from the demand side as an employee of BPAmoco, and also from the supply side as a management and information technology consultant/project manager, working with organizations in Europe, North America and Latin America.
