Baker Names DiFiore Transportation Planning Manager.

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 1999--

Joseph DiFiore, P.E., has been named Transportation planning manager for Michael Baker Jr., Inc., a subsidiary of Michael Baker Corporation (AMEX:BKR).

In this position, DiFiore will oversee a diverse group of planning professionals for the development of transportation projects in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, West Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. His major responsibilities will include organization, growth and profitability of the Transportation Planning Department.

DiFiore is an experienced transportation project manager and has led several major efforts in the Pittsburgh area including the new interchange where Route 51 meets the Liberty Tunnels. He was previously employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), where he served as special assistant to PennDOT's District Engineer for the Airport Expressway Project and project manager on numerous sections of the East Street Valley Expressway.

He has been with Baker for eight years and is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology.

He resides in Moon Township with his wife, Helen, and their two children.
