Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. ) to lead the company. The committee is made up of three outside members of Baker's board of directors: Robert N. Bontempo, Ph.D.; Thomas D. Larson, Ph.D., P.E.; and John E. Murray, Jr., J.D., S.J.D. The Committee will be assisted in the selection process by a nationally recognized search firm. Its search will include internal and external candidates. No time table has been set for completion of the search, but it is hoped that a new CEO will be in place by the company's annual meeting in May 2000, according to Baker's Chairman and CEO Richard L. Shaw. The Search Committee is being chaired by Dr. Bontempo who is an associate professor of international business at Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Dr. Murray is president of Duquesne University.
