Other companies began climbing onto the Bake-Off bandwagon, becoming sponsors and, in recent years, offering prizes of their own for recipes that included their products. Eager contestants no longer rely on recipes handed down from mothers and grandmothers, but created their own, hoping to be selected as one of the 100 finalists.
