(OTC:SGID) today announced a strategic partnership to deliver enterprise business continuity. The enhanced offerings are targeted at new and existing enterprise customers, as well as high-performance users and government entities. This high availability solution will allow organizations to consolidate Network Attached Storage (NAS) or tiered storage for improved data lifecycle management and expanded data protection, including disaster recovery and business continuity.

This agreement further enhances BakBone's continued leadership position in providing customers industry-leading data protection solutions for Linux(R) environments. With the expanded relationship, SGI will resell BakBone's NetVault(R): Replicator worldwide as part of an integrated high availability and disaster recovery solution for greater protection against application downtime and data loss.

Under the terms of the strategic agreement, NetVault: Replicator will ship with SGI(R) NAS products sold directly or through SGI's global network of value added resellers (VARs) and distributors. To ease the administrative challenges caused by the lack of integration between current disparate point solutions, NetVault: Replicator has been integrated into the SGI(R) InfiniteStorage NAS product line. The combined offering will allow Linux users to leverage the unique real-time replication in BakBone's NetVault: Replicator product suite along with SGI's powerful NAS portfolio to satisfy a variety of enterprise uptime and budget requirements.
