Baitullahs death news received next day of drone invasion : Rehman Malik.ISLAMABAD, August 10, 2009 (Frontier Star): The federal interior minister, Rehman Malik has said that the news of killing of Baitullah Mehsud had been received on the next day of the American drone attack. Replying to severe criticism of opposition leader, Chaudhry Nisar, he informed that drone attack on Baitullah Mehsud was conducted at the midnight of 05-06 Aug, and the news were received the next day, which were not relayed due to lack of evidence. The Para medical personnel, who administered drip to Baitullah Mehsud on the ceiling of his house, also confirmed the complete destruction of his vehicle. The interior minister further informed that a meeting of TTP was held on 09th Aug, during which severe differences arose among the gathering about possession of Bait-Ul-Maal (massive funds for social amelioration), which resulted in killings of Hakeem Ullah, while Qari Hussain and Wali-Ur-Rehman were injured. He also informed about formation of a task force to check human smuggling and trafficking, based on police forces of Sindh and Balochistan alongwith FC troops. Talking to media outside Assembly afterwards, the interior minister said that government had announced a developmental package of Rs. Seven and a half billion for Mehsud tribe, and the tribe should avail this opportunity to encourage education and progress in its environs.
