Bain & Company, a leading global business consulting firm, today announced the appointment of twelve new vice presidents. These include: Tanya Avellan (Mexico City); Vinit Bhatia (Toronto); Robert Carse (London); Ann Chen (Hong Kong); Andrea Ciccoli (Milan); Jay Grob (Dallas); Nick Jackson (London); Tim O'Connor (Boston); John Perkins (Los Angeles); Alberto Regazzo (Milan); Paul Rosenberg (Boston); and Scott Wells (Boston).

Vice president biographies:

Tanya Avellan joined Bain & Company in 1994. She worked in the Costa Rica and Madrid offices and helped establish Bain's operations in Mexico City, where she currently heads the Consumer Goods practice. Her focus is to develop and implement turnaround strategies and organizational design strategies.

Vinit Bhatia joined Bain & Company in 1993 and has worked with clients in Canada, the U.S. Europe and Asia. He has expertise in the telecommunications, transportation, manufacturing, financial services, logistics and natural resources industries.

Robert Carse joined Bain & Company in 1993 and is currently working in the London office. He served clients in the Sydney office and helped to establish Bain's operations in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has expertise in the retail, banking, telecom, consumer goods and automotive industries.

Ann Chen joined Bain & Company in 1989. She worked in the Paris office, and is currently serving clients out of the Beijing/Hong Kong offices. Her areas of expertise include the telecommunications and technology industries, as well as consumer and industrial products. Her focus is to develop and implement strategies in China, including market entry, distribution and acquisition due diligence.

Andrea Ciccoli joined Bain's Milan office in 1989. He has worked extensively in consumer products and retailing and has served financial investors in a variety of operations from M&A to leveraged MBO and management MBO. He is currently working with clients to define and implement strategies in the fashion and luxury goods sectors. His functional areas of expertise include portfolio and growth strategy, brand development, organizational design and supply chain management.

Jay Grob joined the firm in 1987 and was a co-founder of the Dallas office in 1990. He has recently served clients in the following industries including Internet services, telecommunications, and baking. He has also led engagements in corporate portfolio and business unit strategy development and implementation, turnaround strategy, acquisition valuation, cost reduction, purchasing and operations planning.

Nick Jackson is based in the London office. He joined Bain in 1993 and has worked in a number of industries including consumer goods, retail and media. His retail experience is focused primarily on the development of turn-around and growth strategies for companies in a variety of sectors, including food, clothing, electrical and mail order.

Tim O'Connor joined Bain in 1993. He has worked in the Boston, San Francisco and Sydney offices and has managed projects in media, financial services, e-commerce, and a variety of low-tech manufacturing industries. In addition, Tim has been serving clients in Bain's Private Equity Group, leading teams in strategic due diligence and portfolio company improvement.

John Perkins joined the firm in 1995 and is one of the founding members of the Los Angeles office. He has worked with clients on strategic and operational issues in the automotive, consumer goods, healthcare, retail, e-commerce and new media arenas.

Alberto Regazzo joined Bain in 1994 and is based in the Milan office. He has served clients in a number of industries including automotive, insurance and financial services, oil and gas and other industrial products.

Paul Rosenberg is based in the Boston office and has directed teams developing strategies in a variety of areas including healthcare, e-commerce, consumer products and services, and primary metals. Previously, Paul served as Special Counsel to the U.S. Department of State where he oversaw a review of all assistance programs to the former Soviet Union.

Scott Wells joined the firm in 1993. He has worked in the San Francisco, Los Angeles and Toronto offices and is currently working in the Boston office. He continues to serve clients in a variety of industries, including industrial products, consumer products, broadband wireless communications, software, retail and financial services.
