Mary Elizabeth Bailey and Charles Michael Witt were united in marriage in a candlelight service April 8, 2006, at the Bonne n. 1. A female servant charged with the care of a young child.  Terre Memorial Chapel in Nesbit. Rev. Dr. Robert Rambo officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Malcolm Douglas Bailey Jr. of Clarksdale. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Edward Broyles of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Mrs. Malcolm Douglas Bailey Sr. and the late Mr. Bailey of Lambert.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white Chantilly lace, mermaid-style gown by Christos. Ivory silk taffeta sashes crisscrossed the bodice, forming streamers down the back, flowing beyond the sweep train. Accessories included a delicate cross necklace and a pearl and crystal tiara designed by Fenaroli, loaned to the bride by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Michael Bailey. Her lace-trimmed illusion veil was made by her mother. She carried a bouquet of white and ivory roses, freesia freesia: see iris.

Program attendants were Christan Bailey and Adair Reid. Victoria Hays served as the bride's proxy.

Music for the ceremony was provided by the Roy Brewster String Quartet and by vocalist Mr. Michael Edwards.

Following the ceremony, a buffet reception was given by the bride's parents at Ashley Hall. The Paul Rainey Band performed. California wines from the Talley vineyards and champagne were provided by the groom's parents.

The newlyweds were driven away in a white vintage Jaguar.

That evening, the groom's parents hosted a Southern gourmet dinner at Cafe 61 in Memphis. Bluesman Robert Balfour provided the entertainment.

Wedding day activities included a Graceland tour and luncheon at the Rendezvous restaurant, hosted by the groom's family, while the bride and her attendants enjoyed a picnic and the salon at the Peabody Hotel.

After a honeymoon at the Paraiso de la Benita Resort on the Yucatan Peninsula, the couple currently resides in Henderson, Nevada.
