Ashley Moore Baier and James Dustin Schultz were united in marriage at seven o'clock in the evening on July 13, 2002. The Deacon Jerry Harrison performed the ceremony at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Church on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mathias Baler of Metairie, Louisiana, and Mr. and Mrs. James Harley Schultz of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Joseph Lewis Baler of Meridian and the late Mr. Baler, and Mrs. John William Patterson of Jackson, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Patterson.

Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Alton Ray Murrah of Prescott, Arkansas, and the late Mr. Murrah, and Mrs. Wilbert Harley Schultz of Blevins, Arkansas, and the late Mr. Schultz.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk organza dress with a cathedral-length train and cathedral-length veil trimmed in ivory satin. Ashley carried a satin-wrapped bouquet of ivory Virginia roses, stephanotis, and an heirloom handkerchief from her great grandmother Townsend. The vocalist was Rinda Coleman accompanied by Kathy Anderson, harpist, and Carmen Leerstang, organist. Kathryn Becnel and David Toso read the scripture lessons.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Amy Baler Batson. Bridesmaids were Amanda Allen, Michelle Bevington, Suzanne Brister, Laura Lee Grove, Margaret Blake Easterling, Wendy Manard, Christie Ogden, Lindsey Renovich, and Mary Toso. The attendants wore claret satin two-piece dresses with beading and carried individual bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, and stephanotis.

James Schultz served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Austin, Bryan Batson, Hunter Carpenter, Matthew Hutsell, Wes Jones, Mark Mazurkiewicz, Spencer Robinson, Heath Schultz, Matthew Smith, John Shipp, Justin Sorrells, and Matthew Still.

Metairie Country Club was the setting of the candlelight reception held immediately after the ceremony. Music was provided by harpist Stephanie Nash, and later guests danced to the music of Bobby J and All That Stuff. Fresh flower arrangements of roses, hydrangeas, lilies, and delphinium were created by Meade Wenzel. The bride's four-tiered wedding cake was adorned with fresh rose petals and votive candles. The groom's chocolate truffle cake with chocolate ganache filling was topped with chocolate-dipped fresh strawberries.

On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner for the bridal party and guests at the Omni Royal Orleans in New Orleans.

After a honeymoon in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple is at home in Germantown, Tennessee, where the groom is a CPA with Deloitte & Touche, and the bride is a sales representative with Merck Pharmaceuticals.
