Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Joseph Lewis Baler of Meridian and the late Mr. Baler, and Mrs. John William Patterson of Jackson, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Patterson. Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Alton Ray Murrah of Prescott, Arkansas, and the late Mr. Murrah, and Mrs. Wilbert Harley Schultz of Blevins, Arkansas, and the late Mr. Schultz. Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk organza dress with a cathedral-length train and cathedral-length veil trimmed in ivory satin. Ashley carried a satin-wrapped bouquet of ivory Virginia roses, stephanotis, and an heirloom handkerchief from her great grandmother Townsend. The vocalist was Rinda Coleman accompanied by Kathy Anderson, harpist, and Carmen Leerstang, organist. Kathryn Becnel and David Toso read the scripture lessons.
