Bahrain-Iran co-operation hailed.


Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa yesterday held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki and discussed bilateral co-operation. Political efforts aimed at sparing the region the spectre of violence and escalation also came under the spotlight. The two sides stressed the need to consolidate security and stability and step up diplomatic efforts to avert any calamities in the region.

'Protect coral reefs' call

A Bahraini environment activist yesterday urged protection for coral reefs coral reefs, limestone formations produced by living organisms, found in shallow, tropical marine waters. Quack held for molesting girl

A quack has appeared before the General Prosecution on charges of molesting a Gulf girl.

The girl's family apparently sought the help of the Sitra-based impostor to help them track down a thief. The mother paid the man BD200 after he made her believe that she would see the thief in her dreams. The man then requested her to leave him alone with her children so that he could bless them, said a report in our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej. He then allegedly molested mo·lest
