Bahrain stops admissions to 6 private varsities.

Admissions to five private universities in Bahrain Universities of Bahrain:
  • New York Institute of Technology, Bahrain branch
  • University College Bahrain
  • Ahlia University
  • Royal University for Women
  • University of Bahrain
 have been suspended for a year and to one for a semester, by the kingdom's Council of Higher Education higher education
