Bahrain plans $761m expo city.

City (pop., 2001: 143,035), capital of Bahrain. Situated at the northeastern tip of Bahrain island, it is Bahrain's largest city, with about one-fifth of the emirate's population.
 

A state-of-the-art city for exhibitions and major events will be built near Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir at an investment of BD287 million ($761 million), said the Kingdom's Industry and Commerce Minister.
