Bahr-ing accidents.

BAHR, runner-up to Shahtoush at Epsom, will take all the beating in tomorrow's Kildangan Stud Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

She's a quality filly and has performed well all season, winning the Musidora at York and the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot. And, of course, she finished a good second to Shahtoush in the Epsom Oaks.

Frankie tracked Midnight Line that day and was ready to press the button when I launched Shatoush on his outside.

Shahtoush had been travelling well just behind Bahr and picked up well. And, once we hit the front, we were always holding Frankie's filly.

Bahr beat Aidan O'Brien's Star Begonia at Royal Ascot and was always going well through the race before going about her business.

She has that touch of class and all tomorrow's opposition will be hoping that this third race in a short time might take its toll. She's not over- big but is very genuine.

I ride Kitza for Aidan and, if she stays the mile and a half, she will prove the main danger to Bahr.

Kitza is tough and ran a cracker to finish second to Tarascon in the Irish Guineas.

She was in the front-line throughout that day and the step up from a mile to the Oaks trip is a worry. On breeding, it's questionable whether she will stay.

I haven't ridden her work for a few weeks, but Aidan is happy that she is well, is hopeful about her stamina and believes she is entitled to take her chance in another Group 1.

Winona was a close fourth in the Guineas and, unlike Kitza, has run since. And she ran a terrific race in the Coronation at Royal Ascot, running on to finish a close third to Exclusive.

If John Oxx's filly continues to improve and stays the trip, she should go close.

Luca Cumani's Glorosia is a Group 1 winner, having won the Fillies Mile at Ascot last year.

She beat Jibe and Exclusive that day, but it's a bit worrying that she didn't reappear until recently in France.

She finished third to Another Dancer in a Group 2 over there, which was a bit disappointing.

She has to improve from that run to prove a threat at this level. The race should have helped her and she must have a chance.

But I don't really fancy Napoleon's Sister. She was never travelling at Epsom and she has too much to find with Bahr.

The stiffer track should suit her this time, but I think she probably needs further than a mile and a half.

I'll be on Ramooz for Ben Hanbury in the Minstrel Stakes, a Group 3 over a mile.

It's a repeat of last year's race, when Ramooz beat Burden Of Proof three lengths. And my horse is 3 lbs. better off this time.

Ramooz is a battle-hardened campaigner and must have a great chance. He went close last time at Newmarket, coming through to lead early in the final furlong of the Group 3 Van Geest Criterion Stakes over seven furlongs.But Muchea flew home and got up to beat him a head.

That was a good effort and proved his well-being. He has to be held up and produced late. So I'll be taking my time.

Burden Of Proof is the obvious danger and it will be interesting to see whether Johnny (Murtagh) holds him up or decides to let him bowl along as he did last time. It looks a fascinating race and I'm pretty hopeful.

Aidan runs three in the Anglesey Stakes (Group 3) and supplemented Leopardstown winner Hunan, which Christy Roche rides.

I'll be on Royal Tern, which won a maiden in Cork in April. I don't know much about him.

Aidan's other runner is Coralita, which ran a good race in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. But the extended six furlongs will really stretch her.

Namid ran well on her debut against Camargo, but Tommy Stack's Fear And Greed picked up well and ran on strongly last time and might prove as hard as any to beat.

Immovable Option, a debutant, is my mount in the Jimmy Kennedy memorial Maiden. He's a nice colt but will improve quite a bit from the run.

Con Collins' Delray was unlucky when beaten by Fear And Greed on Derby Day, racing aloneg up the centre of the course before being caught in the last stride. And Aidan's newcomer Lavery is pretty smart.

The "Rockingham" looks as competitive as ever and I'm expecting a good run from Lady Shannon. She loves the ground and is training well.

But I think she's handicapped too close to top-weight Lidanna, which will be very difficult to beat.

She's a dual Group 3 winner and ran well in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.

She showed plenty of speed on ground she didn't like and was squeezed out of it at a crucial stage. The weights have gone up, leaving her on 9-10. But she's a really good filly and is the one to beat.

My other ride is Musical Mayhem in the two-mile handicap. He seems in good form and I expect him to run well.

I'm going to Limerick today for just one ride, Hawas, in the four-runner Aughinish Island Maiden. I hope the trip is worthwhile. And, next week, I expect to be in Killarney for a few days. Hopefully, I'll be able to combine a few winners and a bit of golf.
