The agreement ensures that the Boat Show will remain at Bahia Mar in the coming years. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is a favorite venue among marine enthusiasts, and has been a signature event in the City of Fort Lauderdale for 46 years.

The lease agreement for the Bahia Mar facility establishes a relationship among Bahia Mar, Yachting Promotions, Inc, and MIASF to maintain the show at Bahia Mar while the resort is improved and redeveloped.

"This agreement will create a fine home for the Boat Show," said Kaye Pearson, president of Yachting Promotions, Inc. "We look forward to many years of producing the world's largest boat show at Bahia Mar and we are excited about the renaissance of this landmark hotel Hotels called the Landmark Hotel, or something similar, include:

 and resort."

Bahia Mar will be restored to a level of quality expected on Fort Lauderdale Beach today. The "jewel" of the beach will be polished to become a destination for visitors and local residents to enjoy.

"Securing the Bahia Mar site for the Boat Show is an important step in protecting the over $600 million economic impact and thousands of jobs the show brings to our community each year," said Kristina Hebert, president of MIASF.

As the site is redeveloped, the owners and producers of the Boat Show will be involved in the process. The lease agreement calls for the Boat Show to be a participant in the improvements to Bahia Mar. The new look to the property will include features that specifically enhance the production of the Boat Show, and create a better experience for exhibitors and attendees.

"We are considering this event in every aspect of our redevelopment plan," said Russ Flicker flicker: see woodpecker.
