Baghdad car bomb kills 12


At least 12 people were killed and 26 others wounded on Friday when a car bomb struck a crowded market in the southern Baghdad neighbourhood of Dora, police said.

Women and children were among the dead in the attack that also destroyed nearly a dozen shops in the Abu Dshir market, a police officer told AFP (1) (AppleTalk Filing Protocol) The file sharing protocol used in an AppleTalk network. Mosul, capital of Niniveh province, is regarded as Al-Qaeda's last urban stronghold in Iraq and is one of the country's most dangerous cities.
