Baggies tracking quartet.

ALBION have been among the clubs checking out Polonia Bytom TS Polonia Bytom is a Polish football club founded January 4, 1920 in the city of Bytom, during the hectic months of the Silesian Uprisings. In late 1922 however, as a result of the Upper Silesia plebiscite, Bytom became part of Germany and the club ceased to exist.  quartet Rafal Grzyb, Marcin Radzewicz, Michal Zielinski and Peter Hricko.

Grzyb and Radzewicz are both midfielders, aged 26 and 29 respectively. Zielinski (25) plays up front for the Ekstraklasa side, while Hricko, aged 28, is a defender.

At this stage Albion are simply monitoring the quartet with no indication, as yet, whether they will pursue any of the players who are all out of contract at the end of this season and available for knockdown prices in January. A Bytom spokesman confirmed Albion had been among the visiting clubs recently, with PSV Eindhoven “PSV” redirects here. For other uses, see PSV (disambiguation).

Bytom president Damian Baryla confirmed that, as yet, he had received no offers for any of the players.

"There is growing interest in these players because all four can leave in June," said Baryla. "I don't particularly want to sell any of these players before then."

Bytom would need to finish in the top five of the Polish Ekstraklasa league, which would net them a much higher windfall from the performance-related TV rights package, to stand any realistic chance of keeping the players.
