Stephen Craig Watson (born April 1, 1974 in North Shields) is an English footballer, currently playing for Sheffield Wednesday, whom he joined on a 2 year deal on 10 July 2007. was taken back in time to his schooldays when he was quizzed by pupils in Oldbury. Watson went along to Moat Farm Junior Beacon School Beacon School was a government designation awarded to outstanding primary and secondary schools in England and Wales from 1998 to August 2005. The Beacon Schools programme identified schools that were examples of good practice and funded those schools to enable them to build for a question and answer session before handing out certificates to children who attend voluntary out of school hours sport and education sessions. The project, run by West Bromwich Albion's Community Programme, in partnership with the club's Study Support Centre, aims to provide pupils of all ages with extended school activities, ranging from tag rugby to cricket and modern foreign languages to web design. Activities take place four evenings a week, every week of the year, and encourage parents and carers to also take part in family learning. Moat Farm head Chris Evans said: "Our partnership with West Bromwich Albion is continually developing and the brand name and good quality provision attracts pupils and parents a like."
