), I find myself somewhat confused. I'm baffled as to the logic and reasoning behind the 20-year rule that favors career officers and senior enlisted personnel exclusively. Why are combat-wounded veterans with less than 20 years of service excluded from CRDC/CRSC legislation but otherwise meet the Purple Heart Purple Heart

 and permanent disability rated 60% or higher, why shouldn't they all be entitled to CRDC or CRSC? Under the current legislation, guess who gets "the short end of the stick?" This is not a fair and equitable policy for the junior ranks whose officers and enlisted men are severely wounded in combat, and for some, seeing an abrupt end to a promising military career.
