Badger Selected by Innova S.A. To Supply Technology for Ethylbenzene Plant in Brazil.

 today announced the award of a technology license for proprietary EBMax(sm) Process Technology by Innova S.A. Innova plans to construct a new ethylbenzene Ethylbenzene is an organic chemical compound which is an aromatic hydrocarbon. Its major use is in the petrochemical industry as an intermediate compound for the production of styrene, which in turn is used for making polystyrene, a commonly used plastic material.  plant with a capacity of 540,000 metric tons per annum in the South Petrochemical Complex, Triunfo County, State of Rio Grande do Sul Rio Grande do Sul (rē` grän`dĭ th s , Brazil. The plant is scheduled for completion early in 2008.

In addition to the technology license, Badger will supply the Basic Engineering Package to a local engineering contractor for execution of detailed engineering.

Frank Demers, President of Badger Licensing, stated, "We are extremely pleased that Innova has selected the EBMax Technology for this project. When complete it will be the largest ethylbenzene plant in South America and will bring the total EBMax licensed capacity to seven and one half million metric tons per annum worldwide."
