Badger Paper Mills Reports Fourth Quarter 2001 Profit.

This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight
 for the fourth quarter 2001 were $17,641,000 compared to net sales of $17,990,000 during the fourth quarter in 2000.

For the year ended December 31, 2001, the Company's net sales of $76,305,000 generated net earnings of $3,846,000 and $1.92 per share (basic) and $1.89 per share (diluted). This compares to net sales of $76,138,000 and a net loss of $3,066,000 and $1.55 loss per share (basic and diluted) for the year ended December 31, 2000. Included in the results for the year ended December 31, 2001 was a pre-tax gain of $1,627,000 on the sale of Company owned timberland and other land.
