Strobel as a director of the company and Richard A. Meeusen as vice president-finance and chief financial officer. The elections were made by the company's Board of Directors at a regular meeting held today. Strobel, 43, has served as vice president and general counsel of Commonwealth Edison Company, Chicago, Ill., since 1993. Prior to joining Commonwealth Edison, she was a partner in the law firm of Sidley & Austin, Chicago. She joined Sidley & Austin in 1988, following 11 years with the firm of Isham, Lincoln & Beale, Chicago. Strobel is a member of the American, Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations and the Women's Bar Association of Illinois. She serves on the planning committee of the Corporate Counsel Institute of Northwestern University and the Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute.
