) today announced the election of Kenneth P. Manning as a director of the company. The election was made by the company's Board of Directors at a regular meeting held today.

Manning, 54, is the president of Universal Foods Corporation and a director of Firstar Trust Company. Prior to joining Universal Foods in 1987, Manning worked for W.R. Grace and Company where he held positions as vice president of operations, European Division; president of the Educational Products Division; president of the Real Estate Division; vice president - Corporate Technical Group; and president of the Ambrosia Chocolate Company Division. Prior to that, he was employed as a marketing representative for IBM Corporation and a management consultant with Cresap, McCormick & Paget.

Manning holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, at Troy, N.Y.; coeducational; founded and opened 1824 as Rensselaer School; chartered 1826. It was called Rensselaer Institute from 1837 to 1861.  in Troy, New York Troy is a city in New York, U.S., and the county seat of Rensselaer County. As of the 2000 census, the population was 49,170; in 1910, the population was 76,813. The city's motto is Ilium fuit, Troja est, which means "Troy was, Troy is. , and an MBA degree in operations research from American University in Washington, D.C.
