Badger/Chicago NAMA host Golf Outing/Publisher's Cup. (NAMA News).

The Farm Journal Media Team recently won top honors at the first Badger/Chicago NAMA Publisher's Cup. The July 18th Competition was held at Hawk's View Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI. The event was held in conjunction with the 2002 Badger/Chicago Golf Outing.

Comprising the first place Farm Journal Media Team was publisher Steve Custer, Will Murphy and Jim Jones, of Farm Journal Media, and Tracy Sagan of Bader Rutter & Associates. They won the Cup with a score of 10 under par. The teams from Successful Farming and Farm Progress Companies finished second and third respectively. The Farm Journal team has possession of a travelling trophy until next year's competition. The inaugural tournament required publishers to select their teams to include a publisher or publication head, a Badger/Chicago NAMA member, a player of the opposite sex, and a person-at-large.

According to event co-chair John Anderson, Bader Rutter & Associates, "We succeeded in creating an event that allows the publishing media to compete for something other than advertising dollars. We all know publication reps enjoy the occasional tuff inspection. Now Farm Journal has bragging rights for a year."
