The Diocese of Dallas took possession of the glass with the host and sent it to the University of Dallas' biology department for analysis. The conclusion, according to a letter by Dallas Bishop Charles Grahmann, was "that the object is a combination of fungal fungal /fun·gal/ (fun´g'l) fungous; pertaining to fungi.
