Backing up Your PS3 GamesYou always hear about people losing games or damaging their games, this kind of thing happens all the time. And if you have a gaming console than you probably already know that it can be very expensive to replace the games, in fact it can costs anywhere from $60 to replace them. So you would be better off going to the stores and buying new games, however with the new next generation consoles you can easily avoid the risk of damaging or losing your games. Now before you jump the gun and say this is illegal, you need to stop and think about it. Because as long as you buy the game and create a backup copy than that''s fine, however if you create multiple copies and distribute them to other people than you could get yourself in trouble, especially if your profiting from them. Only the game publishers have the right to create multiple copies and distribute them, you can only back up copies of games that you already own. And you shouldn''t be accepting any illegal copies of games either. Me personally, I respect the great work the game publishers do and as a token of appreciation I buy the games. I haven''t really made any back up copies of my PS3 games as of yet, well I keep everything neat tidy and organised, and I don''t really lend my games because most of the time it''s other people that damage or lose your games. To find out more you can go online on Playstation 3 forums, because a lot of people talk about backing games. And it''s not really that difficult, because all you need is a blank DVD, a DVD burner which most if not all computers have and a PS3 backup software, because your normal DVD burner won''t recognise the PS3 game. And it''s recommended to use a good brand for the blank DVD because you don''t want a loss in quality. These are the simply steps to back up your PS3 games: * Firstly insert your game into the DVD burner and select the option * And follow the on screen set up process to create an image of the game * After that you should begin burning the DVD (Should take 20-30 minutes) * Once the image is created remove the game and put in the blank DVD * Simply copy the PS3 game image onto the blank DVD. It''s a very simple process, well depending on how powerful your computer is, it may take longer or a shorter period of time. And keep in mind that if you go wrong while burning the DVD you won''t be able to re-write over it, unless you buy a blank DVD re-writer. So try and follow the steps carefully, and like I mentioned before, don''t distribute illegal copies to other people because the last thing you want is the police knocking on your door.
