BackWeb Announces Integration Validation with Oracle; Second Validation with Oracle Allows Mobile Employees to Engage in Learning Activities Anytime, Anywhere.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- BackWeb Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: BWEB), a leading provider of software designed to mobilize existing enterprise web applications, announced today that Oracle has validated the integration between the BackWeb(R) Offline Access Server(TM) and Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) application. This integration makes it possible for ELM users to access their personal learning workflow and enrolled course training content even while disconnected from the network. The results and reporting of these offline training activities are automatically synchronized back to the ELM application whenever the user reconnects to the network.

This is the second Oracle application for which BackWeb, a Certified Partner in Oracle(R) PartnerNetwork, provides a mobile offline solution. The first was the Oracle e-Performance Management (EPM) application announced in April 2005. BackWeb directly sells and markets these solutions and works closely with the Oracle PartnerNetwork to support its activities.

The BackWeb Offline Access Server (OAS) provides anytime, anywhere access to existing enterprise web applications, portals, and content for mobile and field personnel who are occasionally connected to the network via wireless or other connection. The product makes it possible for enterprises to provide mobile solutions while still retaining the central control, cost effectiveness, and flexibility of applications deployed in web-based enterprise architectures. It does not require changes to the application or installation of complex software on user's laptops. When offline, users work normally in their browsers and new or changed data is automatically synchronized between their laptops and the online application. BackWeb works with leading application vendors and customers to provide mobile extensions to their commercial and custom applications.
