Back to 70s with Donny and Marie; TVChoice An Audience With Donny & Marie (ITV1, 8pm).


FOR the first time in many years, Donny and Marie Osmond will be appearing together in the UK in this hour-long special.

In a musical extravaganza based on Donny and Marie's successful Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  stage show, they will be singing some old favourites and some new songs in front of a celebrity-packed audience.

Donny said: "It was great to be back. It's always great to feel the excitement and enthusiasm from our fans in the UK."

So what made the duo decide to do the show? "I really enjoyed doing 'An Audience With...' back in 2003," explains Donny.

"There was no way I was going to turn it down. Plus, it's a great opportunity for us to show the UK audience a bit of our Vegas show and to sing tracks from our new CD."

Talking about his favourite performance from the evening, Donny says, "Crazy Horses. The audience went crazy as well. The adrenaline adrenaline (ədrĕn`əlĭn, –lēn): see epinephrine.  pump was over the top. That's what showbiz is all about, baby."

So what can viewers look forward to? "An hour of pure variety," he says. "Marie and I not only show the new side of our careers, but we take the audience back 30-plus years and sing some of the oldies Oldies is a generic term commonly used to describe a radio format that usually concentrates on Top 40 music from the '50s, '60s and '70s.

Oldies are typically from R&B, pop and rock music genres.

Marie Osmond admits she was also thrilled to be back in Blighty: "I guess because our heritage is English and Welsh
As an adjective "English and Welsh" refers to England and Wales.

, there is a part of me that feels very at home in the UK," she says.

"Or, maybe it's the great shopping in London that makes me feel like I belong."
