The Institute of Real Estate Management's educational program is well known as the industry's chief provider of quality education. Now, for the first time, the Greater NY Chapter of IREM is pleased to offer the "Property Operations" education series which brings together the diverse disciplines of financial calculations and analysis, human resources, marketing and leasing in one comprehensive week of education, networking and fun.

The courses, which may be taken individually or as a series, are designed to provide the expertise needed to succeed in today's competitive real estate market.

"Managing Investment Real Estate: Financial Tools" will be offered on Monday and Tuesday, March 29th and 30th. Course topics will cover a wide range of issues that impact fiscal planning performance; budgeting; capital expenditures; mortgage financing and tax-related issues.

"Human Resource Essentials for Real Estate Professionals" will be offered on Wednesday, March 31st and Thursday April 1st. This course covers a range of human resource topics, including: identifying staffing requirements and developing job descriptions; managing different types of human resources; providing training and development opportunities for staff; and compensation and benefits administration.

"Marketing and Leasing Strategies for Multifamily Properties" will be held on Friday April 2nd and Saturday, April 2nd. Course topics include developing and implementing resident orientation programs; market and property analysis; marketing planning and strategies; leasing strategies and resident retention, including communication and problem solving.
