Schools reopen in September. at last as a TK Maxx TK Maxx is a chain of off-price department stores in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The company is part of the TJX Companies which also owns other department store companies such as T.J. Maxx. store (DP, November 13). It''s been a depressing sight to see this once fine flagship property at the heart of Liverpool''s traditional premier shopping area empty and deserted. I often wondered what would happen to this great building once its previous occupants, John Lewis, moved down to Liverpool One. Now, with TK Maxx and Rapid Hardware occupying the other end of John Lewis''s old store, the entire property will now be back in business, and what a difference it will make to the bustle bus·tle 1 intr. & tr.v. bus·tled, bus·tling, bus·tles To move or cause to move energetically and busily. n. Excited and often noisy activity; a stir. of Church Street. However, I also ponder on whether John Lewis is quite so keen on its new Liverpool One shop. It''s all very glamorous, but it seems rather out of the way and never as busy as the fine old Church Street store. Do John Lewis''s Liverpool bosses ever wish they had stayed in their old store?
