Back from Their Northeast Tour - The GEMZ Get Word of Their Single ``Blue Is For Girls'' to Be Featured on ABC's 'All My Children' Friday, September 8th!

LOS ANGELES -- The summer started and ended on a sweet note for Miami-based tween pop group The GEMZ, who have returned from their Northeast Tour. As if it wasn't cool enough that they were performing at all the sleepaway camps and parks in the tri-state area for their tour -- the girls just got word that their song "Blue Is For Girls," from their album of the same name is going to be placed in a September 8th episode of ABC's "All My Children!"

In just three short years, The GEMZ -- whose lineup includes Samantha (16), Carlie (15), Sarah (14), Margaux (13) and Sammi Jack (11) -- have truly become role models for their evergrowing fan base. They have performed hundreds of shows in dozens of cities coast to coast. They've entertained audiences for both Radio Disney and trade shows; have been featured on several TV shows including "Wifeswap" and MTV's "PoweR Girls"; have sung at prestigious sporting events, charity events, malls and record stores.

The title track, a true teen empowerment anthem for the current generation, and a cover of "Bop To The Top" (from the hit show "High School Musical") are already available for downloading at iTunes. "Blue Is For Girls" asserts that not all girls need to be pretty in pink, that it's important to be what you want to be and not let people influence you to be something you're not. "You know what it's all about?" Samantha adds. "We're The GEMZ. We shine and each have our own unique qualities that we bring to the group. Our mission is to encourage the kids out there to shine on their own as well."
