SportsLine (cbs.sportsline.com) unveiled its new, streamlined site design which reduces download time and provides faster access for the millions of sports fans who visit the site. CBS SportsLine now features fewer graphics and easier, more convenient access to sport pages, highlights, scores and top news stories.

The redesign improves navigation of CBS SportsLine by utilizing a more consistent, user-friendly format. As part of the new design, major sports and special-event site links are located above the masthead. Feature areas such as Chat, Fantasy Sports, and Contests are linked directly below. The JAVA scorebox, daily poll and links to other prominent site areas such as Women's Sports, Superstars, and SportsLine Worldwide are found along the left column. These new design elements have been incorporated into the basic format of the pages, which features the lead story in the center and other top news in the right column.

"Our research has consistently shown that sports fans prefer quick access to content with fewer graphics," said Michael Levy, president and CEO of SportsLine USA, Inc., the publisher of CBS SportsLine. "Our team has put together a design which allows for quick access without sacrificing either the distinctive CBS SportsLine feel or our unparalleled content, giving CBS SportsLine a tremendous competitive advantage. Fans can now use the download time they save to visit even more areas on our site."
