Net sales Net Sales The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted. Notes: This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight in the thirteen week period increased 4.3 percent to $22,574,000 from $21,652,000 in the third quarter of 1994. Net income was $29,000 in the quarter compared with $284,000 in last year's third quarter. Net income per share in the quarter was $.01 versus $.08 last year.
